This weekend I had the pleasure of attending the 2012 Blogging While Brown right in my backyard here in Philly. Aside from the opportunity to learn from and network with some of the best bloggers in the country (both brown and not so brown), I also had a chance to get my “Chic in the Street” series up and running.

“Chic in the Street” is all about how every day women are showing their chic all around town.

Today’s “Streeters” are Rosie and Michelle. I met Michelle and was immediately impressed with her elegant, classic style. Her outfit, a classic shift dress in one of the season’s it colors – orange – proves that you don’t have to be over the top to make a style statement.

I met Rosie’s fabulous bracelet before I met Rosie. I stared at her bracelet through the entire lunch session and had to find out where she got it (a shop in DC). Rosie is a stylist and it shows. Her outfit mixes classic (sweater vest anyone?) with a twist (those colors! that belt)!
