“Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it.” – Yves Saint Laurent
A date with a new guy can be intimidating. We want every detail of our look to be perfect. From our hair, to our make-up, to of course, our outfit! And, when we have a Friday night or all day Saturday to pull it together (or plan it a week in advance like I do!), we women usually get it right.
But, the lunch date? Totally different ball game. Now, you’ve got to pull together an outfit that is a) work appropriate, b) swoon worthy and c) not trying too hard (because, the man needs to know we’re, well, working hard, duh!). Afterall, when you’re already nervous about a date and juggling your daily work responsibilities, the last thing you should worry about is what you’re wearing. We’ve got you covered on that front!
Below are three easy lunch date looks that a woman can try. The first two looks are almost identically (except for the purses and dress color) and are appropriate for a woman who works in a conservative business environment or a business casual environment. And, they’re consistently my “go to” lunch date outfits. The third outfit is appropriate for a woman who works in a more casual environment. All three outfits are very simple to recreate.
one. conservative.

two. business casual.

three. casual.

What do you think? Would you rock these outfits on a lunch date? What are your lunch date go to outfits? Can’t wait to see and hear what you share!

I need to find those dresses or something similar. I’ve come to really like seeing myself in a dress so I’m gonna be stocking up, lol!
all these looks are very pretty! My favorite is the business casual. I love that color!
Old Navy has that dress is black, teal, orange and pink. It’s universally flattering. Also, check out JC Penney for great dresses and super cute pieces that you can mix and match. If you’re willing to spend a tad more check out Zara and Macy’s. Also, Dress Barn has gotten some really cute stuff and they have a contract with Calvin Klein. They have some great Calvin dresses in beautiful summer prints!
