One thing I love about Philly is the fact that the fashion world here is consistently growing. We are constantly bringing new ideas and events to the tri-state area, like 17 . . . Days of Fashion, which is community based, Full Figured Style Week, which focuses on men and women of size and stature, and the Philly Fashion Expo.
The Philly Fashion Expo “will become an annual two-day event for our great city. [The] goal is to create commerce, business and job development throughout the region by bringing together textile and product manufacturers, retailers, fashion and product designers, and the everyday consumer.” Pretty big deal if you ask me.
On Thursday June 27, 2013 I had the chance to attend the Philly Fashion Expo’s launch party (after driving 2 hours to get to the city, ughhhh!) at Fire & Ice (312 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA). Drinks were flowing, food was delish, the photobooth was on 10, and, of course, fashion was on full display! Organized by the Philly Fashion Expo team, which includes friend of YCS Philly PR Girl, the event was a resounding success!
I didn’t take a ton of photos, but I did manage to capture a few flicks on my trusty iPhone! Check out the gallery to see a few of my snapshots from the event.
To learn more about the Philly Fashion Expo be sure to visit their website! YCS will be on hand both days of the event which will be held September 14-15, 2013 at the Liacouras Center.
