For the fourth year, 17 . . . Days of Fashion has descended upon Philadelphia. The annual event features a number of fashion events produced by local designers and industry professionals. It also incorporates education forums lead by leaders of the Delaware Valley and fashion community at large. YCS is thrilled to be a part of the festivities for the second year in a row.
17 . . . Days of Fashion kicked-off Friday night with the 4th Annual Media Reception and Kick-Off event held at Jollies Live.
The star studded event included local celebrities like Fox 29 News Anchor Sheinelle Jones, Praise 103.9’s Dezzie, the ever-so-stylish Jamahal Boyd and one of my personal faves, the fabulous Envy McKee. The red carpet was also home to national celebrities like Boxer Bryant “By By” Jennings and Chaz Shepherd, whom most of you will know from The Game, but, whom I remember from his days on 7th Heaven starring as Gabrielle Union’s brother (how’s that for some trivia!). As the event planner for the kick-off reception, I had the perfect vantage point to see all of the fashionable guests upon arrival. Check out some of my behind-the-scenes photos below.

You can also check out photos from a number of photographers and fellow bloggers, a few of which are below:
Throughout the next two weeks there will be a variety of different events held under the 17 . . . Days of Fashion umbrella. Although YCS will not be attending all of the events, there are a couple that we’re looking forward to attending. Notably, the Philadelphia Daily News “Sexy Singles Party” on Thursday August 22, the VIP Shopping Night and Fashion show hosted by D.I.M.e Universal and held Dress Barn, Bala Cynwyd on Saturday August 24, and the Philly Fashion 360 event on Wednesday August 28 at Fire and Ice. As you can see, the line-up for this year’s 17 . . . Days of fashion looks promising. Will YCS be seeing you at any of the eventS? Let us know!
