On Tuesday September 24th, I had the fun opportunity to go to the SA VA Fall Style Event which was part of the Philadelphia Collection. After browsing the website, I knew that the owner Sara Van Aken wanted SA VA to be the most “socially sustainable apparel company in the country.” (Taken from http://www.savafashion.com/about/). I was very excited to see a store that manufactured locally and used all Philadelphia had to offer.
Going into the store I could see that it was very chic and put together. They offered me champagne right when I walked in. This was a very nice touch! I could see that they were doing free hair and makeup makeovers styled for Fall. Ettore Mastroddi from Richel D’Ambra Salon was styling the hair and I could not wait to see what he would do with mine.
Even though I never wear my hair up, I thought the look he gave me was super cute. If I was ever in the mood to put my hair up this is what I would do because it was simple and cute. All you need is a hair tie, a crimper, and hairspray.
After I got my hair done, I decided to browse around the salon and see what was in style. Here are a few of my favorite looks.
As you can tell, scarves are very popular for the Fall especially in fun patterns. Make sure you pick some up! I also noticed that all the clothes had this tag that explained where the materials came from. I thought this was great because I know that these products are put together in the most eco-friendly way they could be. It’s nice to know that we can reuse and recycle and still look super chic J.
This was a fantastic event and it put me in the perfect Fall mood. Make sure to check out SA VA and it’s website. You won’t regret it!
