Meeting the parents of your significant other can be really nerve-racking and finding the perfect outfit can be even more stressful. I have come up with a few tips and tricks to help you put the perfect outfit together no matter what the occasion.
Before I go into specific outfits I want to give you a couple of pointers. First off make sure “the ladies” are covered. You don’t need to be giving off any unwanted vibes. I also wouldn’t wear anything too form fitting. You do not need to be sexy when you are meeting the parents for the first time. Secondly, accessorizing will bring together any outfit and make you seem more put together. Just make sure not to go to crazy!
The first outfit I put together is for a casual meeting like a lunch. A warm sweater, cute pair of boots, and a nice bracelet or watch will do the trick. You will seem cute, but won’t look like you are trying too hard for this casual meeting.
Sweater: Kohl’s I Jeans: American Eagle I Boots: Carlos Santana I Bracelet: From a bronze shop in Italy
This second outfit is for a meeting that will be a little nicer like a dinner or a Sunday brunch. Pattern tights with a cute dress always look chic. It’s a fun way to be creative and unique without going overboard. A dainty necklace and cute flats will pull the whole outfit together. You won’t seem too dressy or too casual.

This last look is for a semi-formal event. A cute dress with heels and a statement ring is all you need. Plus you can always pair this look with tights if you are uncomfortable with showing some leg.

I hope you enjoyed the looks I put together for you! As for anything you wear, make sure you love it and feel happy in it. When you feel great, you’ll look great, and the parents will love the energy you are giving off. Good luck meeting those parents!!
