We all know that Beyonce created a major fashion moment when she tapped Jourdan Dunn, Chanel Iman, and Joan Smalls to star alongside her in her “Yonce” video from her latest album. For lots of us fashion girls (self proclaimed or otherwise), we’ve been hip to these models for a minute. I love each of these women, but there is just something about Joan Smalls that I simply adore. It might be the fact that she isn’t just a baddie, she’s also brilliant. It could also be her work ethic because girl. friend. werks. It might also be the way that she carries herself with grace and elegance both on and off the runway. I don’t know exactly what “it” is, but whatever “it” is, I’m diggin’ it!
As I currently LONG for this cold, snowy winter to ease up on us here in Philly, I couldn’t help but start wishfully planning my spring/summer wardrobe. I saw this picture of Joan and was immediately inspired to create a similar look over on our YCS Polyvore page. There is something about the simplicity and easiness of this outfit that I love.
