On Friday February 7, 2014 I had the pleasure of attending the Lillie Couture F/W 2014 Runway Show. Lillie Designs Couture by Latasha Hall is a “collection of young, contemporary fashions with a bold, edgy flair.” The runway presentation featured a number of feminine looks in luxe fabrics . Latasha used her signature ruffles in a number of the designs; but, it was her use of mixed materials and feminine silhouettes that really stole the show.
The whimsy of Alice in Wonderland, which inspired the collection, could be seen throughout the clothing, accessories, headpieces, and even the staging and runway. My favorite piece from the collection was a beautiful cream dress with elegant ruffle details. It is the type of piece that I could see myself wearing to the office (on a day with no client meetings) and then heading out for dinner with friends or a special someone afterwards. The silhouette is classic with a slight twist. Overall, the collection was cohesive, flattering, luxurious, and filled with some of the design staples we have come to expect from Latasha and Lillie Couture Designs.
