Moroccan Themed Party

The other day I was watching Food Network and “Giada at Home” came on. The name of the episode was “Moroccan Magic.” After I saw the show, I knew I wanted to make a Moroccan themed party centered around this food. Below are some ideas I had and the websites I used to find the items. If you want to view Giada’s recipes click the link below!

The key to a Moroccan party is PILLOWS! Pier 1 has some amazing pillows. Below are my favorites.

It’s not a Moroccan party unless you sit on the floor! These were my favorite floor cushions I found from Urban Outfitters.

Another important aspect of a Moroccan themed party is lighting. Below I found a cute lantern and some votives you could use. All you have to do is get tea lights and the mood is set!

Now of course you need your table linens. A great website to use is BBJ Linen. There is a great virtual design center. Below is the design I was playing around with.

Next you need to set your table. Gold is the way to go. I was able to find pretty cheap plates and a very chic set of Moroccan tea glasses.

Lastly you have the invitations. Mixbook is a great place to create them but you can always use eventbrite to make online invitations. Here is the design that I liked from Mixbook !

I hope you enjoyed my ideas! Of course if you don’t want to spend a ton of money on a Moroccan themed party you don’t have to. Just think rich, bright colors, gold accents, and low lighting. Let me know what you think in the comments below !
