Hey guys! Fall is just around the corner and I honestly couldn’t be more excited! It’s my favorite season for a number of reasons; first, my birthday is in October so I’m always hyped about that. Second, the weather is perfect. I sweat like a 700lb man so a nice crisp breeze makes my soul smile. And lastly, but probably most importantly, it’s time for amazing fall fashion! I’m already planning my outfits complete with leather jackets and scarves and cute boots, oh my! Today I’m bringing you a few fall shoe trends that have me ready to just give these shoe retailers AWL my dough.
Bad A** Moto Boots
Now we all know that even the girliest girl needs to toughen things up from time to time and moto boots are the perfect way to do that. They’re so sleek and clean but can also give your typical fall ensemble a little biker edge. Most motos are textured to some degree with pebbled leather or quilting, kicking things up a few notches from your average leather boot. Other regular moto features include buckles, chunky lug soles and metal detailing (I mean, biker gang, hello!). Aside from giving you a little street cred, these boots are also extra comfortable and can literally be worn with anything. Dressing down? Leggings and an oversized sweater. Casual date night? Bold print shift dress and a cute clutch. Out with your girls? Skinnies, a fitted tee and a cropped leather jacket or vest. The possibilities are endless, guys! Check out some of my faves below and by all means, feel free to send a sista a pair as a birthday gift. ☺
Marc by Marc Jacobs Over The Knee Boots – Quilted, $598
Vince Camuto Winta Quilted Moto, $198
Rachel Zoe Liam, $395
Animal Print
Talk about making a statement; animal print has arrived in a big way this upcoming season and I, personally, couldn’t be happier. I’m of the mindset that animal prints are neutrals (partly because I truly wear whatever I want) so I’m totally here for all of these options! The usual suspects will be easy to find- leopard, cheetah and zebra print, but I’m also seeing a surgence of various snake prints getting in on the action. Since animal prints are going to be easy to find in flats, pumps and boots this year, they’re the perfect addition to any outfit that needs a little pop. And don’t be afraid to mix things up a bit, we all have a little rawr in us!
Mode Collective pointed pump, $230
Loeffler Randall, Quinnie $295
Paul Andrew, Tigrado $895
Ankle Booties
I love killing two birds with one stone and ankle booties do that better than any other style of shoe. They’re like a pump/boot hybrid, which makes them super versatile and allows you to wear them through all seasons. You can also find styles that encompass the trends I mentioned above so it’s like wearing multiple hot, current looks at once. Look at that efficiency! Lol. Almost all of the hot brands got the memo when it came to ankle booties and are offering styles ranging from a 60s hipster vibe to street chic peep toes to boardroom ready suede versions. Because of the variety available, weather permitting, you can throw an ankle bootie on every day from now until Thanksgiving and you’d get no shade thrown your way. Well, not from me at least, other people may wonder. Lol.
Sam Edelman Julian, $150
Nine West TipToe Perforated Bootie, $130
Steve Madden Zipstr, $130
So there we have it. Those are the three shoe trends of the upcoming fall season that stood out the most for me. Of course there are more, including true neutrals and lug soles, but none of them had me reaching for my credit card (RIP to that poor card) the way these styles did. By the time you read this I’m sure a good 40% of the examples pictured will already be en route to my doorstep. Now go out there and make your feet happy!
Your Chic is showing,
Regina
