YCS Style Diary: Fall Transitions
By Erika, Resident Fashionista
September is one of those odd months. You never know if it’s going to be 90 degrees (like it was here in Philly last week) or 60 degrees (like it was this morning!). It always feels too early to put away ALL of my summer clothes but I also find myself pulling out a few cold I weather staples earlier than I planned to. In today’s style diary I put together three looks that can help during this awkward weather. The first look mixes shorts, a decidedly summery staple, with leather, which will be found all over come fall. The second and third looks build upon my fave pair of polka dot jeans and rely upon layering and unique textures to complete the looks. All three looks are easy to put together and will take you from a sunny afternoon to a chilly evening. You’ll also notice I intentionally mix textures that are distinctly “summery” (like canvas) with cold weather fabrics (like sweatshirt material). The best part is that every look featured was created from clothing that was already on my closet. Shopping for new fall gear is always fun – but it’s not a requirement to look chic!
How are you guys managing to transition your wardrobe?
