I must admit that the 2015 Pantone color of the year, Marsala, left me scratching my head. It’s not quite Burgundy. Not quite Maroon. Is it brownish? Definitely not Oxblood. Or is there a hint of it? I still can’t quite define it and, apparently, I’m not the only one.
What I do know is that this color is rich, robust, and will look fabulous on all you autumnal-toned ladies (and lads) out there (along with the everyone else)! But if the color – and the article above – leave you a bit squeamish, here are three easy ways to work the 2015 Pantone color of the year into your wardrobe.
Your Nails
One of the easiest ways to give this hue a test run is on your fingernails. The color will look cool and sophisticated and you’ll know almost immediately how the color will look with you skin tone. Your Shoes
Everyone is always talking about adding a pop of color to an outfit. Why not add your pop on your feet? You’ll be sure to make a statement the moment you step into the room wearing this bold color.
Your Necklace
This color is equal parts chic and earthy when worn around your neck. I am absolutely living for some of the gorgeous pieces that have popped up all over Etsy ever since the color was announced. Heads will turn and all eyes will definitely be on you.
