YCS featured on DefCon Jive Podcast

By Erika, Fashion Expert

I’m incredibly excited about today’s blog post because it’s dope on so many levels!  I had the opportunity to chat with Scott (aka Cannon) from the DefCon Jive podcast about all things YCS and XVI I XIV (Sixteen Fourteen); and, that interview is featured on today’s episode of the podcast!

Why is this so dope? I’m glad you asked!!

First, I’m incredibly excited to talk to anyone about YCS and the XVI I XIV (Sixteen Fourteen) collection; so, it was an honor to be asked for an interview.

Second, Scott is a fellow Philadelphian (and probably a distant cousin, based on the neighborhood our families are from) and, more importantly, a fellow Howard Bison!  He is family!

Third, the podcast is equal parts informative and hilarious!  They tackle everything from pop culture to politics all while lacing every episode with hip hop.  I’m not saying this because I’m featured this week.  Go back and listen to past episodes.  They’re great – especially on long drives!! It’s the perfect verse over a tight beat (#brownsugar).

Fourth, the podcast promotes black businesses each week.  How DOPE is that?!  It’s one of my favorite things about the podcast.  This is why it’s such an honor for me to be interviewed.

Finally, as a passionpreneur, I support anyone following their passion.  My friend Scott loves audio mixing and he’s great at it!  So, of course, I’m going to support anyone following their dream and putting in work!

With ALL of that said, I want to encourage you to go to the podcast app on your phone and do a couple of things:

  1. Follow DefCon Jive.  Don’t just download today’s episode – follow them and listen to ALL of the episodes!
  2. Listen to today’s episode, obviously!

Then I want you to go their Facebook Page and like it.

And, just in case you don’t have a smart phone, below are a few links that you can use to access the podcast (you have NO excuse):

Like I said, no excuse to support the DefCon Jive Family because they support the YCS Family!

I’ve also posted the full interview on the YCS website, so you can check it out here.

Go ahead and treat the DCJ Podcast like Netflix and binge on it all weekend long!
