Hello and welcome to the first post in our year-long “Wardrobe Essentials” style series! Each month, I will be featuring one wardrobe essential that you absolutely need in your closet. These wardrobe essentials are exactly that . . . pieces that are essential for you to own to create a highly curated, cohesive and versatile wardrobe. This month we are going to talk about what could possibly be my favorite Wardrobe Essential — the Leather Jacket.
Why You Need a Leather Jacket
Leather jackets are one of the most versatile pieces that you can have in your wardrobe. They, quite literally, go with everything. Whether you want to dress it up or dress it down, it’s going to totally work. A leather jacket is one of the first pieces I always recommend a client get if they don’t already own one. And, the great thing is that you can grab one in all different price points! Retailers offer real leather and faux/vegan leather options that are designed to fit any price point.
Styles to Consider
When you are purchasing a leather (or faux leather) jacket you can’t go wrong with the classic, moto-style biker jacket. This is definitely going to be your more versatile and classic option. But, it’s not the only option. You can also consider jackets in unique colors, more streamlined and fitted silhouettes, or with different finishes, like distressed or patent leather.
