2013 has been an amazing year for YCS! We officially incorporated and launched Your Chic is Showing, LLC! We held a fabulous launch event (I know, I know – I still owe a recap a million years later!)! And, our blog took home the “Best Plus Sized Fashion” prize at the Black Weblog Awards. All in all, a stellar year for us.
Still, many people are unfamiliar with the personal shopping, personal styling, and event management services we offer at YCS. Our mission is to change that! And that mission starts right now!
On Black Friday, we will launch our new and improved website!
When I mention we are launching a new website, I get tons of questions about what that means for our loyal readers. Here are the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.
Will the web address change?
Nope! You’ll be able to find us at wwww.yourchicisshowing.com, just like always!
Does this mean the blog will go away?
Don’t worry; the YCS blog isn’t going anywhere! You’ll still have access to all of our great, archived content and we’ll still keep the blog posts coming on the regular! And, your favorite contributors aren’t going anywhere! Donte’, Torrey, Sara, Alexis and I will all be there. PLUS – we’re adding a kid’s style contributor! Trust me – we’ve got even more for you to love on the new site!
Why are you switching to a new website?
As a small business (with plans to keep growing), it is important that our website serve as a reflection of who we are. So, in addition to housing our award-winning blog, we want our clients and potential clients to learn all about the various services we offer. And trust me, there are plenty! We needed to move to a platform that will better support our needs as not only a blog, but also a business.
What else can we find on your new site?
You will still be able to find the award-winning blog that our readers have come to know and love. TRUST me, that isn’t changing! You will also be able to find all of our personal styling, personal shopping, and event management packages and services AND a portfolio showing our skills. As we continue to make our site more robust, you’ll see that we will be adding client testimonials and a representative list of clients. Our website will also house our latest promotions (including our awesome Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday deals) and will feature our upcoming events! You can also download a ton of information about our services, book “Office Hours,” and schedule personal shopping/styling or event management consultations.

Chic University (Chic U) is home to a variety of educational tools and services, including Office Hours and YCS Workshops. I’m very excited about offering these new services to our clients.
And, of course, you can learn a ton about the YCS team on the new site! We’ll be adding in information about your favorite team members and contributors!
Remember, for a while, the site will continue to be a work in progress – I don’t think I’ll ever be done updating it! Be sure to stay tuned throughout the rest of the week while we share our holiday promotions, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday deals, and all sorts of new and exciting information!
